Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 70

Please let me introduce you to my Supermurgitroid friend, Robot No. 70!

In November, Robot No. 70 and I were talking, and they shared that they didn’t fully understand Christmas. I started to tell them about how some people decorate with lights. I didn’t even finish my story before they ran out to buy some lights!

Unfortunately, their first attempt at holiday decorating wasn’t as magical as they’d hoped. Christmas lights are like computer cords-they immediately get tangled the instant they are out of their packaging.

Robot No. 70 lamented that they just wanted to experience the magic they’ve heard about regarding Christmas. I told them that it happens to many of us humans. We try to do everything just so, and it can be disappointing when the magic of Christmas doesn’t appear how we imagined it. I told them it is important to try to be gentle with ourselves because some of the joy is in the littlest things. They felt better, and then decided that they want to help spread that message.

Robot No. 70 and I hope you get to take some time in the next few weeks to sit back, watch a fire (whether it’s real or on TV), eat a cookie, watch the lights twinkle, and have a special moment all for yourself.

If you would like Robot No. 70 to help you with that, they are available from these shops: Threadless Artist Shop or Art of Where.

Take care,

Leslie

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 14

Please let me introduce you to my Supermurgitroid friend, Do-Gooder Robot No. 14!

Robot No. 14 heard sports are happening right now. Football, soccer, curling, hockey: they don’t mind watching all of it with you. They want to make sure that they are the biggest cheerleader.

The biggest cheerleader – of your snack table. They’ll try to recreate the long-lost spicy chili recipe that has been a legend in their family. They’ll even make pimento cheese rolls! They’ll make sure there is something spicy, sweet, sour, savoury and of course all of it will be delicious.

Really, it all comes down to their belief that food is love, and they want you to enjoy your favourite sport with really good food. And they want to help spread that good too. As a Do-Gooder, whenever they go to a new home, a portion of their proceeds are donated to World Central Kitchen!

If you would like to help spread some good, you can take them home from any of these shops: Threadless Artist Shop or Art of Where.

Take care,

Leslie

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 43

Please let me introduce you to my Supermurgitroid friend Robot No. 43!

Robot No. 43 is not a savvy trick-or-treater, in fact, they don’t really understand it at all. As they don’t have a nose, they thought it was great humans were going to help them figure out if they stink! They got really confused when they were given candy in response to “Trick-or-treat, smell my feet!”

To add to their dismay, they found out that the corn syrup in most candies will clog up their internal gears, so they can’t even ingest any of the candy they’ve been given!

Robot No. 43 really needs some human help this Halloween. They need to see proper trick-or-treating! They promise to give all their candy in return! They’ll also help you with your costume. (It’s not well known, but robots have a keen sense of what makes a good costume. It comes from many years of trying to fit into our human world – they’re ever evolving and paying attention to what humans think is stylish.)

If you think you are the right human to help Robot No. 43, please follow one of the following links to bring them home!

Take them home from any of these shops: Threadless Artist Shop, Redbubble or Art of Where.

Take care,

Leslie
