I am a watercolour, pencil crayon, and digital artist, a papier-mâché sculpture creator, and a sewist. While my art has always been with me, it’s been the most serious in the last few years.

Many of my inspirations come from my childhood: horror movies from the 1920s-1950s, vintage toys, Golden Books, Saturday morning cartoons, spending hours in the garden with my grandpa, and spending the other hours baking with my grandma.

I like off-beat things, but I also believe embracing my weird is what makes me Leslie. The eclectic things I like are whimsical and fun, they can do good and be positive influences. My robots are a mental release, and each are a little nugget of my soul. I connect with each piece so deeply I get lost in these stories as I’m creating them.

As I’ve grown as an artist, I’ve wanted to help uplift others – wanting to make people smile, find something nostalgic, remember a happy memory, or know they aren’t alone in their feelings. That’s why there are the Do-Gooder art prints and greeting cards – each one donates a portion of their proceeds to a charity as it relates to the piece.

I also don’t want to impact the Earth; I want to leave it a better place than when I got here. Where possible I ship my pieces in 100% recyclable or compostable packaging.

In my path to respect the past and pave the way for the future, I’m searching for whimsy, so I end up making it. I would love to make something whimsical and fun with you!
