Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 155

It’s R Day my friends, and I would like to introduce you to Supermurgitroid Robot No. 155.

Robot No. 155 has been spending time with Robot No. 40, Robot No. 89, and Robot No. 123, and they couldn’t be happier! When they’re feeling stressed, they go and tend to the plants. Sometimes I walk past and hear them talking gently to the plants. They are really quick to recommend it to anyone else in the house who’s feeling stressed too.

I’m so glad we have a house full of green-thumbed robots because having house plants definitely makes the place nicer, and a lot more calming!

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 87

It’s R Day my friends, and I would like to introduce you to Supermurgitroid Robot No. 87.

Robot No. 87 is a bit of an innovator, inventor, and history buff. They heard that some of their ancestors relied on a technology that forced them to be wound up to work for a short period of time. This kind of boggled their mind. So much effort for such a short period of time! Robot No. 87 wondered how much work they were able to get done in such a short spurt of energy.

They got to work in the workshop. They worked out a retro-fit for their bodice and technology so they could hook up a winding key to their system. It doesn’t force them to shut down when the energy from the winding key is used, but a timer goes off and they go back to using their regular system.

It gives them a very good window to the past, showing them just how quick a few blinks flies by. They now understand why their ancestors worked differently, and likely why technology has advanced this far. Robot No. 87 is grateful they were able to get this glimpse. They’d love to share more tales about how they fancy to adapt this system to work with renewable energy, but I’ll save that for another time.

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 120

It’s R Day my friends, and I would like to introduce Supermurgitroid Robot No. 120.

Robot No. 120 is a sensitive observer, and a people watcher. They are quiet and always attentive. They are curious, inquisitive, and digest so many things—more than we even know, I’m sure.

It’s obvious when Robot No. 120 gets drawn into something they find interesting because their eyes begin to sparkle, the whizzes and bangs of their internal gears speed up, and their gauges begin to whir and tick. Everything seems to move quicker, but yet they’re still calm and gentle.

It’s so interesting to me that we all find it so mesmerizing even though it happens so often because they’re SO curious! Proves how gentle and engaging Robot No. 120 is that we are all so invested.

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 138

It’s R Day my friends, and I would like to introduce Supermurgitroid Robot No. 138.

Robot No. 138 got a bit caught up in the whirlwind created by Robot No. 70, Robot No. 73, and Robot No. 137. They read “T’was the Night Before Christmas” countless times, memorized so many carols, and stares at the snow with wide-eyed amazement. They’ve tried to learn all they can about reindeer, the North Pole, and traditions around the world. They’ve taken to the one Santa decoration, and often carries it around the house. They are often found sitting in front of the tree together, or if it’s snowing, in the window.

I can’t wait to see Robot No. 138’s face Christmas Eve when we follow NORAD as it tracks Santa’s trip!

Introducing Do-Gooder Supermurgitroid Robot No. 151

It’s R Day my friends, and I would like to introduce Supermurgitroid Robot No. 151 who is a Do-Gooder for World Central Kitchen.

Not long after Do-Gooder Robot No. 151 arrived, we were walking in one of our neighbourhoods with a lot of little boutiques, they stopped mid-step in front of one of the windows. I almost missed they’d stopped it happened so fast!

They were stuck in awe for a moment, and almost couldn’t hear me asking what was so good. But then I saw we were in front of a bakery with a big display of doughnuts. They had all the flavours you could imagine, plus a few more! So many colours and textures!

Robot No. 151 begged me to go inside so we could get some. The smell inside was so comforting, I was a bit sad that robots can’t smell, but seeing the look on Robot No. 151’s face told me they didn’t miss out on anything!

We got a box of doughnuts to take home and show the others. The whole way, Robot No. 151 kept the box lid open and inspected each doughnut with such admiration and awe. When I told them doughnuts were a bit of a luxury, they were aghast. And that’s when they decided to be a Do-Gooder for World Central Kitchen, so that everyone can have good comforting food when they need it the most.

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 42

It’s R Day my friends, and I would like to introduce you to my Supermurgitroid friend, Robot No. 42.

Robot No. 42 has so many references to our Dracula! Count Orlak, Bela Lugosi, Moonlight, and so many more! It boggles my mind how they put it all together.

They love the lore about garlic warding off vampires. They despise the smell of garlic — raw or cooked — and we often giggle that they truly are a vampire through and through. Whenever there’s a blood moon, Robot No. 42 stands at the window admiring it, lost in thought. I am always so curious where their mind goes during those times, but it’s such a private moment I never want to interrupt. Someday I will ask, until then, it’s another mark on the calendar that we know is a special day.

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 107

It’s R Day my friends, and I would like to introduce you to my Supermurgitroid friend, Robot No. 107.

Robot No. 107 was so excited to be included in the activities for the first week of school. Their eyes got so big when they learned about school photos and how there can be different backgrounds. They looked on the internet for different examples, but weren’t finding quite what they had in mind. They asked to see some of my school photos and their jaw dropped when they saw my grade three photo. They insisted on using that background, and they couldn’t be more excited about sharing this photo with all their friends!

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 118

Please let me introduce my friend, Supermurgitroid Robot No. 118!

It’s R Day my friends, and I would like to introduce you to my Supermurgitroid friend, Robot No. 118.

Robot No. 118 is digging their heels in! They’ve declared they don’t want summer to end – ever!

They love to spend time outside – it doesn’t matter if it’s raining or the sun is shining bright, as long as it’s summer.

Each morning, they sit on the patio for their breakfast, they only come in for a few moments at noon to cool off and fill up on coolants, then they’re right back out there – exploring, hiking, biking, beaching, gaming, all the things!

I aspire to be as active as they are! I’m so pleased I get to see them soaking it all up.

Introducing Supermurgitroid Robot No. 114

Please let me introduce my friend, Do-Gooder Supermurgitroid Robot No. 114!

Do-Gooder Robot No. 114 is a quiet robot, and in our quiet house, sometimes it’s easy to lose them. However, I’ve learned that the first place to look is the kitchen. They’re usually pouring over my large cookbook collection, or (even better) baking up something sweet and delicious!

While they don’t say much, their sweet treats say everything. They are warm, gooey, delicious, sweet, and unctuous. You can taste the love that has been put into them. They don’t need to be exceptionally talkative when their actions do all the talking.

One of the things I love most about Robot No. 114 is that if they see anyone in the house having a struggle, they drop everything and bake up that robot’s favourite treat!

A bit ago, there was a storm and it left some people without power, and the first thing Robot No. 114 did was bake up some bread and treats to take to them. They said we were lucky to be spared, so we needed to help those who weren’t so lucky.

Do-Gooder Robot No. 114 wants to ensure that everyone has the food they need during scary times like in the wake of natural disasters, a donation is made to World Central Kitchen when they go to a new kitchen.
